AI regulation is coming. Prepare your business and sell the service to your clients: As G7 leaders call for ‘trustworthy AI’ standards, set up ‘Hiroshima Process’, local AI industry leaders encourage 'critical' Congressional regulation of emerging tech, and Six states in the US already have limits for AI tools.
TL;DR - Local AI regulation talks have sparked the first global effort to set core AI values. Cultural differences and various approaches make it tough, but it's essential for our transnational business world. Standard practices will simplify your business ops, sales, and customer relationships. We can't predict the outcome yet, but it's a good start. While getting up to speed on AI is important so your business isn’t left behind, mitigating risks is just as important. Stay tuned for The Ai FIlter’s AI audit checklist! AI is reshaping entire industries, and bringing new challenges along the way. Regulations promote safe and fair innovation. It's essential to choose AI tools that fit your business and follow local regulations. Protect consumer rights and stay transparent in AI decision-making.
Google, Meta, and Amazon’s next frontier: AI-generated ads.
TL;DR - In the digital age, marketing plays a crucial role in the growth of small businesses. It's not enough to send out messages; the key is to reach the right audience. We know having a marketing team can be expensive. And the tech giants know it as well. They are developing AI tools that can drive traffic to your sales platforms. This will be especially beneficial for small marketing teams, as it allows them to create effective ad campaigns without needing to hire extra staff.
Putting AI and automation to work for you: Zapier launches 2 AI Beta features.
TL;DR - Zapier is fully committing to a no-code future. This could be great news for hands-on, non-technical CEOs with limited patience. It might be even better for someone in an operations role who has an interest in growth but lacks an engineering background. Zapier has launched an AI assistant to seamlessly connect everything (which used to be drag-and-drop) for your internal teams. New features enable you to create zaps using natural English and customize your workflows with code steps, all without writing any code.
While schools ban AI, entrepreneurs and AI experts create educational programs and institutes to make sure people get the skillset that the AI era requires.
TL;DR - Change is tough, particularly in traditional sectors like education. But entrepreneurship paves a new path. It shows how AI can ease our work, not just cause layoffs. The first AI Institute in a university and new short AI programs -like Flatiron School and Coursera -enable businesses to merge AI and human skills. We know for sure that AI can help our business, but only if our team has the right skills. This is the moment to invest in our teams.

regulation should take effect above a capability threshold.
AGI safety is really important, and frontier models should be regulated.
regulatory capture is bad, and we shouldn't mess with models below the threshold. open source models and small startups are obviously important.

Dialing in your pricing strategy is key to attracting the right customers. It's all about balancing the scales and finding that sweet spot where your target market sees value. A strategy that sings can truly amplify your sales conversions.

Last week we asked readers, Do you think that AI will ever be able to truly understand human emotions?
30% said “Yes, AI will eventually grasp human emotions 🧠😊”
What do we think? We’re not 100% sure what the right answer is, but it doesn't sound impossible considering the advancements we're seeing in AI and machine learning. We're starting to see tools that can analyze facial expressions, interpret tone of voice, and even respond to our moods. If we keep progressing at this rate, it might not be long before we have an AI that can comprehend and react to human emotions on a deeper level. The implications for customer service, mental health, and personal assistants are enormous. But what would that mean for us as a society? Would this mark a huge leap forward, or would it blur the lines between humans and machines a little too much for comfort?
